Fall 2006 PBA RPPT Newsletter Issued

The Fall, 2006, issue of the bi-annual Newsletter of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, is in print, ready for mailing to Section members. It is also available to members online.

This is grist for this blog-mill for a few reasons.

First, the
Newsletter is a testament to the knowledge, dedication, & character of those lawyers in Pennsylvania who practice law related to personal planning & fiduciary administration, join the PBA, and participate in the RPPT Section.

Second, the contents of the
Newsletter show the breath, depth, & complexity of this legal practice area, as laws change by federal & state legislation, judicial decisions, court rules, administrative regulations, & technological advances. Not "K.I.S.S.", for sure.

Third, the subjects of the articles show how commonplace are the concerns raised in this legal practice, affecting people in our state intimately & directly.

The bi-annual
Newsletter is distributed to current Section Members by mail, and is also available in the "Members Only" area of PBA's website, along with prior newsletters. We encourage lawyers to join both the PBA & its RPPT Section to take advantage of these resources.

For individuals not a Section member who spot an article of interest, you could contact a Section member to retrieve it.

Following are the contents of the Fall, 2006, issue of the
RPPT Newsletter (44 pages):

A few of the articles in the Newsletter derived from my postings on the PA Elder, Estate & Fiduciary Law Blog; and I am honored by that.

The Newsletter editors always seek "copy" (as the PBA Publications Office Staff Editor Patricia Graybill, calls it). I can hear Editor Mark Hammond shout in my ear: "Whatever you got, get it in early!" He's a hound dog on deadlines. As Executive Editor, I say, "Just get it in when you can."

If you want to see your article in print, please submit. We'll take relevant material from any reputable source. We'll make room for good copy again in the next issue of the RPPT Newsletter, due out Spring, 2007.

Update: 01/03/07:

Patricia Graybill indicated in an email message to me that the printed copies of the Fall, 2006, issue of the PBA RPPT Section Newsletter, would be mailed to all current Section members on January 4, 2007.
