PBI's "Elder Law Institute - 2007"

The Tenth Annual "Elder Law Institute" will be offered by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, as co-sponsored by the Elder Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, on Thursday, July 19th & Friday, July 20th, 2007, in Hershey, PA.

Our Elder Law Institute, now celebrating its tenth year, stands out as one of the best conferences on elder law anywhere in the country. If you represent the elderly, the Elder Law Institute is one event you simply won’t want to miss.

Sweeping changes in elder law practice mark the past year. The Department of Public Welfare has released numerous, long-awaited Operations Memos on a host of hot issues. They come on the heels of the Deficit Reduction Act, wide-reaching federal legislation passed last year.

In addition, Pennsylvania has a new law that requires you to rethink how you are draft health care powers of attorney, advance care directives, living wills and other documents important to achieving your clients’ objectives. This new law also authorizes actions by health care representatives – for the first time in Pennsylvania. And, the just released Governor’s New Health Care Plan will bring a sea change to health care in Pennsylvania.
